DESCRIPTION
Ajuga reptans, commonly known as bugleweed or carpet bugle, is a low-growing perennial prized for its colorful foliage and spikes of blue flowers. Native to Europe and naturalized in North America, it forms dense mats of foliage and adapts well to various growing conditions. Ajuga reptans thrives in partial to full shade and prefers moist, well-draining soil, making it ideal for borders, rock gardens, and woodland settings. Relatively low-maintenance, it requires little pruning or grooming and benefits from regular watering and mulching. Resistant to pests and diseases, it is a reliable and beautiful addition to gardens.
